FAQ:
Does this game work for a multigenerational experience?
Folks of different ages approach the narrative and puzzles of this game in different ways. While both adults and youth have enjoyed the game, it is recommended that you facilitate separate sessions for separate age groups. What if my players find a puzzle too tricky? The role of OctBot is a powerful tool to make sure that your players navigate puzzles smoothly. While the Host Guide has all the scripted messages for OctBot to send to facilitate the game, you have full control over any other hints/clues/instructions which you deem necessary to help your players progress through the narrative. Is the game timed / do the players have to beat the clock? Because this game is designed as a teaching tool, it focuses on narrative over timing. In all test games, play took about one hour. Is everything I need to facilitate the game included? Yes indeed! On the How To Host page, you'll find a link to the Google Drive folder which contains absolutely everything you need to facilitate and play the game. I entered my location on the Membership page, but I don't see a marker appear on the map. The map doesn't update automatically. Jenn updates the map information monthly so fret not, your marker will show up within the month. |
